The Christian Wijnants Kolkati Sweater in Stone is a whole garment knit sweater with turtleneck and long sleeves in extra fine merino wool. Whole garment knitwear is produced in one entire piece, three-dimensionally, directly on the knitting machine. There are no seems, so the garment drapes beautifully and feels comfortable agains the skin. Whole garment knitting reduces carbon footprint as only the exact required amount of yarn to knit a product is used. Meaning there is no surplus material. Extra fine merino wool means finer fibers than fine merino wool, which means it feels softer and is extra comfortable. It is more insulating against the skin because of the smaller gaps between fibers in the weave, but it doesn’t compromise on how breathable the fabric is.
